Are You Concerned About Hoodia Side Effects?
Anyone properly contemplating the use of weight loss diet pills must ask the question “Are there any side effects?” That’s to be expected because although losing weight is important, you know that you dont wan’t to jeopardize your health by taking risky weight loss diet pills that have dangerous side effects or that can make you feel ill.
Hoodia side effects can only be understood if you understand how hoodia works in the body. Our hunger is signaled when our glucose (blood sugar) levels drop below a certain level. Your brain then signals the hypothalamus which lets us know that we are in fact, hungry.
Hoodia gordonii is a cactus from South Africa that contains p57. This marvelous ingredient fools your brain into thinking that the glucose levels are optimum. Because of this, our appetites are suppressed even if our glucose levels are low.
Hoodia can be trouble for diabetics because the control of their disease is based on the control of their glucose levels. For the rest of us, the action that p57 has on our brains is a good thing because many of us have been overeating for so long that our glucose levels that signal hunger are skewed. We’ve in a sense trained our brains to live on higher glucose levels. Diabetics, on the other hand, should certainly consult their doctors before using any weight loss diet pills or supplements.
You also need to make sure that you are staying well hydrated while taking hoodia gordonii. Hoodia may also suppress our thirst response. You see, when you feel thirsty, your fluid levels are already low which means youre partially dehydrated. If your thirst response is suppressed, then you may be even more dehydrated before you feel the need to quench your thirst. It is a good practice with or without hoodia to drink water throughout the day. Carry a bottle with you and soon youll be in the habit.
However, that’s pretty much all you have to worry about with hoodia gordonii. As long as you aren’t diabetic or have other major health concerns, you probably won’t experience any side effects from hoodia. Oh, and make sure you drink your water!
Many weight loss diet pills and appetite suppressants other than hoodia gordonii have some pretty nasty side effects.
One of those is ephedra which is an appetite suppressant that was once very popular. It has been banned by the FDA due to its role in the deaths of people who suffered severe heart-related side effects. It is still used by rogue weight loss companies that illegally sell it on the internet.
Alli is extremely popular as one of the best known fat blockers. Its side effects — Excessive bowel movements with bloating, cramping and pain. Yuck!
There are many stimulants used in weight loss diet pills such as caffeine whose side effects are nervousness, anxiety and insomnia.
It’s important to note that while hoodia diet supplements like HoodiThin are 100% pure, other hoodia gordonii products may have additional ingredients. The fact that HoodiThin is simply hoodia and nothing else is why I take it. I don’t want to feel ill simply because I wish to control my appetite and lose weight.
Do not take hoodia if you are pregnant or nursing. Children should not take hoodia. If you have major health concerns or you are diabetic, check with your physician before taking any weight loss diet pills or supplements including hoodia.
If you want to lose weight with a safe appetite suppressant, hoodia gordonii is a great choice so long as you aren’t in one of the above situations.
