Lose Weight The Quick Fix Diets Way
Hey we all want to lose weight and at some point in our life will have resorted to the quick fix diets of the moment. Beyonces lemonade diet is a “typical diet of the moment”. These diets do give us a jump start and make us feel like we are losing weight and will acheive the figure of our dreams. They are not, however, sustainable in modern society and once stopped we will pile the pounds back on again.
Our bodies are designed to be able to survive during “hard times” and possible starvation. Therefore if you suddenly reduce the amount of food and subsequent calories you are having `the body will store the fat it has. The body does this by reducing the metabolic rate which will make sure you can live on less food. The main problem occurs when after living on Beyonces lemonade diet for a week you decide you are so hungry you could literally eat a horse. Your body, by then, has become accustomed to less food and will be able to survive on it and you will pile on the pounds.
What makes these diets even worse is you are often losing only water. The body is only really designed to lose approximately 1-2 lbs of “real” fat a week.
My advice and the way I lost weight following the birth of my son was to follow quick fix diets for a few days to give me a boost. I then replaced this with a healthy eating plan and exercise, yes exercise.
Then start a well planned heathly eating programme combined with good, old fashioned exercise. The exercise is a sure fire way to increase your metabolic rate and you wont then carry any extra pounds following the quick fix diets.
