How To Get Firmer Skin With Cellulite Exercises

by Gal Bishop

Cellulite is a type of fat and everyone knows that diet and exercise affect fat loss. So, it makes sense that cellulite exercises, along with a good diet, can help you to get rid of unwanted cellulite.

A good program is all about losing cellulite the proper way. That means taking the time and putting in the work. There are no quick fixes. You need to be willing to eat properly and exercise, if you want to really lose cellulite.

Cardio exercises, such as using an elliptical machine or running on a treadmill, are what come to most people’s minds when it comes to losing fat. Really, though, if you want to lose cellulite, you should also work on strength training. Strength training will help you to replace cellulite with muscle mass.

Gaining muscle mass may not appeal to you, if you’re thinking of professional bodybuilders. You don’t have to look like a pro to gain muscle, though. In fact, muscle takes up less space than fat. So, if you lose a pound of body fat and gain a pound of muscle, you’ll actually be skinnier.

Not everyone likes going to the gym. The nice thing is that you can do a lot of cellulite exercises right in your own home. For example, exercises like lunges and squats can help you burn fat. Those exercises are especially good because cellulite usually settles in the lower body.

Now, experts say that you should use a technique called interval training to do cardio exercises. It means doing an intense, yet short, workout routine. As an example of that, let’s examine an interval training routine on a treadmill.

It’s always important to start with a warm up. So, begin by doing a low intensity warm up on the treadmill for about 5 minutes. Then, increase either the incline or the speed to do a short high intensity workout. It might be as long as a few minutes or as short as a few seconds. It depends on your workout routine. After that, slow down for a recovery, or cool down time.

You’ll have to repeat the high intensity workout and the low intensity cool down several times to achieve the results you want. Even a 20 minute workout can make a huge difference. That’s because it raises your metabolism up and gets your body to burn fat fast, especially if you combine it with other exercises, such as a strength training routine.
