It is not that we don’t try and lose pounds to look better and feel healthier, but we make the commitments to lose weight and then nothing happens.

Diets make us crave the things we shouldn’t have, even though they may be healthy, but you end up feeling miserable and hungry.

Don’t worry, you can still lose weight if you know what to avoid.

1. Stay Away from Crash Diets

Short term results from crash diets is one of the biggest mistakes people make.

Thousands of people follow these diets every year hoping to lose weight quickly.

These diets cannot be sustained and most will put back all the weight they lost, and more.

2. Do not obsess about the diet

Another mistake people make is spending time on thinking about being on a diet.

This makes you think about food more, which is the last thing you want to be thinking about when trying to lose some weight.

3. Make an effort to do some exercise

You may not like it, but it plays a major role in weight loss. Cutting down on calories is very important, but you cannot rely on a reduced calorie intake alone. Exercising is what gets the calories burning.

If you want to burn calories a lot faster, find an aerobic exercise that you like, because it will make a big difference.

4. Don’t expect big results too soon

Another mistake people make is that they want to see results from the word go. You must give your diet some time before it will start working.

You will end up throwing in the towel if you set unrealistic goals and expect to reach them in the first week.
