Getting Rid Of Man Boobs - How To Eliminate Male Breasts
Gynecomastia (commonly called man boobs) is a very common problem these days. An extremely embarrassing condition that is not well understood, male breasts is extremely common in men aged 15-24.
As common as it is, a good treatment for man boobs has yet to grace the medical field. Even so, there are other treatment options that offer great hope to sufferers of this condition. Of course, understanding gynecomastia and the causes behind it are the first step towards proper treatment.
What Causes Gynecomastia?
Though gynecomastia is often associated with a poor diet, the truth is very different. While a fatty and fast-food based diet contributes greatly to fat increase in gynecomastia, that alone cannot cause an increase in glandular size of the male breasts.
In more than 70% of the cases, the real cause behind gynecomastia is actually a lack of proper hormone levels. This hormonal imbalance is usually found in men with little to no exercise, and an overall poor diet. Therefore, while on the surface it appears that gynecomastia is caused by excess fat, this is actually not correct.
Man Boob Symptoms
As is clear by the usage of phrases such as man boobs and male breasts, gynecomastia is defined as the condition where an otherwise healthy male develops puffy deposits of fat under the breasts especially under and around the nipples, making it look like female-breasts.
While often the breasts are developed in proportion to fat deposits on the belly and other parts of the body, in more than a few cases, they may be much larger than is proportional, which can be a reason for widespread ridicule and humiliation.
Male breast Treatment
There have been quite a few gynecomastia treatment options offered, most of which are ineffective and even counter-effective:
1. A Surgical Procedure - This option is used by many men who have very little hope left. Permissible amounts of fat are surgically removed after surgically opening the breasts. While this may give the appearance of being treated, in the long tun, it may or may not be effective.
Additionally, the danger of permanent scar tissue developing underneath (which can mean permanent man boobs) easily makes this a pretty bad option. This procedure, as expected, is very expensive, and carries risks associated with all surgeries in general.
2. Prescription Drugs and Medication - Though these are often prescribed, their effectiveness is yet to be proven. Additionally, the side effects and high costs make this an unattractive option for a man suffering from gynecomastia.
3. Maskers - This category is comprised of everything that doesn’t help with gynecomastia, but is designed simply to prevent public embarrassment from it.
A good example of a masker is the gynecomastia vest, which works in a manner very similar to a corssette. However, this can be even more embarrassing, since taking off the shirt and vest at a beach suddenly reveals the man boobs you ‘didn’t have before’.
4. Exercises for gynecomastia - Though these work, one needs to have a good knowledge of which ones work, and pursue them diligently. In addition, this is not immediately effective in treating issues resulting from excessive hormonal imbalance and can only help with developing more muscle mass in the chest.
The best treatment option is to learn how to apply a treatment system that combines the right supplements with the right exercises in a plan that effectively and quickly helps overcome gynecomastia.
